Our Team Head Technician | Susanne obtained her bachelor’s degree in animal science from California Polytechnic University at Pomona in 1997. She worked with Dr. Eyton Mitchell at Rosecrans Pet Hospital for 16 years, and came to Bixby Animal Clinic in February of 2006. Susanne is by far the hardest working person any veterinary clinic could ever see. Not only does she bring with her more than 16 years of veterinarian technician experience, but she works with an amazing amount of energy and absolutely no complaint. Her compassion, dedication, and enormous amount of knowledge should make her a role model for anyone in the field of veterinary medicine. She has two dogs, B.J. and Zippy, and one cat, J.B. | Technician | Joseph started his first work in a veterinary hospital in 2006 as a kennel attendant while also attending a veterinary assistant course. Then he joined Bixby Animal Clinic in January 2007. He is an extremely hard worker, efficiently completing all of his own tasks, and then immediately offering help to other staff members with theirs. He is an experienced receptionist, kennel assistant, and veterinary assistant, and plans to attend veterinary school in the future. Joseph attends classes at Calstate Long Beach and plans to graduate in 2011 with a degree in animal science. | | Judy's interest in animal health and welfare began at 16 years of age in Indianapolis, Indiana. She attended IUPUI and soon transferred to Ohio State. After Moving to California, She has been working in private practice as well as with wildlife rescue and rehabilitation programs (such as the Marine Mammal Wildlife Way Station). She joined Bixby Animal Clinic in February 2009, and has been an enjoyable member of our team. | Office Manager | Daniella started with our clinic just two months after its opening, in December of 2005. She has been a huge asset to the front staff team, keeping charts organized and clients happy, all while performing in theatre productions in her spare time. Daniella graduated from El Camino College in 2003, with a degree in theatre. Despite no prior experience in a veterinary hospital, she has acquired a great deal of knowledge and skill in dealing with animals, clients and other staff. She also has a warm heart for the stray cats of her neighborhood, making sure they get spayed or neutered, vaccinated and then adopted into a loving home. The cats that made their way into Daniella’s own home include Alice, Nutmeg, Monty, Onyx, Patsy, Guinevere, Rosebud, and Zim. | Practice Manager
| Jennifer was born and raised in Bellflower, California. She started working in a Veterinary hospital 23 years ago, starting as a receptionist during her last year of high school. Then, 4 years later, she was promoted to a supervisor position. A few years later she was again promoted to practice manager; she worked as a practice manager before joining Bixby Animal Clinic a few years later. She lives Lakewood, California with her 12 year old daughter Lauren; their dog Gunner; their parakeet Snowflake; and kitten Bella. When she's not trying to juggle the responsibilities of work and parenting, she enjoys traveling, gardening, shopping, and spending time with her family. | Receptionists | Stephanie came to our clinic in April of 2006. Her immense experience as a veterinary receptionist has helped our clinic to thrive. She is the youngest member of our team, and has been working at veterinary clinics since the age of sixteen. Stephanie is a great multi-tasker: she answers phones, shows clients into exam rooms, keeps the waiting area clean, and even assists veterinary technicians with blood draws or other procedures. She is constantly working to meet clients’ needs and looking for ways to improve the clinic. In her spare time, she attends classes at Cerritos College and plans to be a high school biology teacher in the future. | | Gloria joined our clinic after having 12 years in customer service as retail management, she started to think of other opportunities in life. After her dog "Twinkle" passed awa, she found away to help other animals. Though never having experience in any type of medical field, she was fortunate enough to find a place at Bixby Animal Clinic | Animal Care Attendant | Edith is our most recent addition. She joined us to gain experience for her future plans of going to Veterinary school. | | |
